More Animals From Texas

So I have already showed you the huge black rat snake but I thought I should show you some more animals that may be less scary from where we live.. We have had everything from snakes, to rats, to black rat snakes. In addition to rats and rats snakes we have had, bunnies, foxes, baby squirrels, armadillos, raccoons, and even some reptiles. Unfortunately we were not able to get pictures of all of the mentioned above, but we were able to get quite a few pictures.
Here are some lizards that I think are called salamanders. Our pest guy told us they like to bite and hold on to things. he said you can make them into earrings, (for all you Lady's). How would you like to have these fellas hanging off your ears?

And here are the baby rats we found in our shed. there were a lot of these guys. At first we thought they were baby squirrels but I guess there rats.

Here is a close up in someones hand.

And that brings us to another snake the great very poisonous copperhead.

This is for real a baby squirrel. We think it fell out of its nest up in the trees. but we left it there and it was gone the next day.

Isn't it cute.

And this is our little friend we call Philip. Me and my mom call him that but sister thinks its a girl. But I picked up this little fella while mowing. saw it chilling out by its hole/nest so I picked him up and got a photo op.

Hes so cute wish i could have kept him.

And here he is all grown up a couple of years later. So we see him every couple of days.

Well hope you enjoy nature and wildlife like I do. I get a kick out of all these pictures thinking how many different animals we have seen and continue to see.

Snake

This is the snake me and my dad caught a couple of months ago... well if caught is the right word for it.

I was just walking by the window and i looked out and saw this little... well big fella was on our porch roof.

He was about a good 5 to 6 foot black rat snake.

I wondered why we hadn't had any rats in our shed in a long time but I guess now I know.

Well in the end we had to "get rid" of the poor guy or gal. We didn't know at the time what kind of snake it was, and we didn't want to take any chances.

So unfortunately we had to dice the poor thing.

And then i had to go back and clean up all the blood.

Should have used coke. But any way hope i didn't gross you out to much.

These are some pictures from my Eagle project for Boy Scouts.

We went to a base near our town and first power washed the monuments down then came back and put some protective wax on it. But here are the pictures of us power washing them. There were about 7 or 8 of us working. Hope you like them. :)

Trying to see the sunshine on a cloudy day

Times are tough with the economy and every other thing going on, and growing up and all, the last thing I need is more to worry about and more pain.

But God puts us through tough times to test our faith and to make us stronger.

But it seems so hard to imagine what to do.

I guess like the old hymn tells us to do, Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. One of my favorite songs that help me through tough times is In Christ Alone. Here are the lyrics.

"In Christ alone, my hope is found, he is my light, my strength, my song; this corner stone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought and storm. What heights of love, what depths of peace, when fears are stilled when strivings cease! My comforter, my all in all, here in the love of Christ I stand." These are just a few words from this great song.

Hope this helps those who are feeling the same in any walk of life.
